Workout DVD Program (DVD) I ordered this item about a month ago. I am starting the third week of the program as I write this review, and I'm loving it!
It is, as the title suggests, an "insane" program, nothing like I've ever tried before.
If you're thinking about getting it, though, keep in mind the following tips:
- Make sure this is the right program for you. Don't push yourself beyond your limits!- Follow the Elite Diet. It will help you maximize your results.- And most important: DECIDE TO START and COMMIT to the program. It will not disappoint!

Workout DVD Program (DVD) First time reviewer here... I will start by saying I had a feeling these dvds would work by the little bit they show on infomercials. I know enough to realize that working out 6 days a week - and cardio to boot will burn some calories... The problem of course it getting yourself to do it... The Insanity 60 day program with Shaun T. at the helm is the ticket. Perfect combination of workouts - which are HARD!! Easy to follow calander... turn off your brain and just put in the DVD of the day... and get pumped and focused because its a tough 40 minutes... every time... but as Shaun T. says... 'i love it!'
Specific details and comments...Me: 42 years old... Female... 5'2" fairly active for my age in my opinion... fell out of the 'workout routine' and put on about 10 lbs... target weight is 115... I started program at about 125... maybe a bit more but who whats to claim that!
Where I am in program: I just finished the first month and am in my 'recovery week'.
My experience so far...
First three days of workouts... with the intense use of calf muscles... I could hardly walk...Calf muscles VERY tight... but not surprising... if this happens to you just fight through it...As with sore muscles... after walking/hobbling around for a few minutes things loosened up... I had my 'breakthrough' on the morning of the 4th day.. ie... minimal soreness in calves!
First 2 weeks.... Tough... could not keep up throughout the complete routine... some sets tougher than others... but by taking minimal breaks.. never more than 30 seconds... I was able to muddle through... you do a couple of dvds in rotation... as the second week went by I already found I was keeping up better and form was more solid especially later in the sessions.. I was getting stronger! yea!
Second two weeks... same dvds for the most part with added core sessions of about 15 minutes on a few days... still building on base for strength... Doing a lot better and noticing much better flexibility and stamina for the workouts... Really enjoying it!
Got through first month without missing a workout! Very proud of myself... I am now on my third day of 'recovery week'...
Dont let that title fool you... you will work your butt off in the recovery week but it is definate a notch or two down on the intensity scale. Slower pace but lots of really painful squat stuff...
Really looking forward to what month two has in store... I have a feeling it will be extremely tough but the way the program is designed I believe I will get through...
Random thoughts/comments:
body changes... already noticable... I did not take official weights or measurements as it is not about that for me... cloths were getting Tight! simple as that... In the 4 1/2 weeks my jeans are fitting much better and I can start to see my abs again... Very pleased thus far.
Diet... the nutrition book that comes with Insanity is awesome... VERY easy meal selections... NOTHING crazy.. normal everyday food... easy to follow... no excuses people...nutrition is important... I firmly believe... as told... excersise and diet are the key to success... do youreself a favor and commit fully!

This is the best workout program EVER!!! I lost 3 pounds in just the first week!! It works you hard and does require a lot of jumping so make sure you're up for it. Chalene is amazing and is so motivating. I have fun the entire time I'm working out because of the awesome music. It feels like I'm dancing the whole time which makes me happy and keeps me going. Everyday I look forward to putting in one of the workouts and just "crushing it!" If you want awesome results, GET THIS!!!

The key to any workout DVD is, something has to keep you pushing "play" every day. Otherwise, it's just another box gathering dust on a shelf. This DVD set makes you actually look forward to doing that! Chalene has that rare gift of being motivational without being annoying. The DVD is filmed in such a way that you really do feel like a part of the class. And the routines are choreographed to great music, another KEY for me. So many workout DVDs have truly awful music, and I realized after doing TurboFire that that was one of the main reasons I got sick of the others so quickly.
For anyone who thinks the routines are hard to follow, there is a "new to class" option which breaks everything down for you. I watched these once each for each DVD, and then just dove in. After doing each DVD a couple of times I pretty much had it down, and I'm not very coordinated or "dancy." If I can do it, you can do it. I also follow Alee for modifications (and sometimes make my own) because I have a tricky knee, and I still get a great work out. One month in and I have lost 7 pounds.
The other day I had to miss a workout because of scheduling issues, and I actually missed it and couldn't wait for the next morning to do another one! This has never happened to me! I am the ultimate couch potato. But TurboFire is FUN, and once you see results, which won't take long, you will find it even more enjoyable. It's the only workout I've tried so far that's kept me coming back for more.

The ab routine is a blast, and I definitely feel it the next day. As Beto says, for the first time working the abs is fun. I also use all of the other DVDs on a rotation basis. I get a great workout at home in the morning, and I'm starting to see a big difference in my body.

I am in my fifties and I have actually attended several Zumba classses. The dvd's are a great way of practicing for the actual classes as well a being a great workout. This workout combined with weight watchers is really helping me to tone and lose. Glad I spent the money.

"Well, I was getting very unhappy with the way I was eating and definitely wasn't happy with the way I looked, especially with the "tire" look around my stomach. So I decided to grab p90x because I had heard good things about it. So a friend and I started doing it in the mornings before work and I will say, it was crazy the first week. I felt like I couldn't do as many as those on the DVD's and figured the program wasn't going to work for me. 
But as the weeks kept going, I was able to do more and more, even after stopping a couple reps earlier than everyone in the video. After the first 30 days, I already started seeing, and feeling, a major difference. I followed the meal plan as close as I could, but weekends we a little rough but still kept a watchful eye on what I ate. 
So for my advise, I want to say stick with it. If you feel like you aren't doing many reps and getting super tired before you are even half way, that is ok! Go at your own pace for the first weeks or so and then try and do as many reps as they do. A friendly tip, try and do it with another person because its much easier to push yourself when someone else is there. 
When I started P90X I was around 235-237 pounds, and although I only did it for 2 months because of my wedding, I had lost 25 lbs and felt amazing. I unfortunately gotten back to old habits after my honeymoon but I am getting back at it again and feel amazing after each workout!"

"Sooo! I am very impressed with this set. It is pretty difficult but the results are well worth it. I find doing this as a group as the most fun! when you are dead tired and watching others struggle but they push on... it helps motivate you to not quit, also it gives you time to have a quick laugh as you take a breath. make sure you have all the equipment it requires though and have a space big enough (10 ft.x 10 ft) that you won't be running into eachother and creating injuries. Also your so called breaks are only like 30-60 seconds so the first couple times your doing this exercise I recomend that you wait 2 minutes for breaks once you are finished with the first 15-20 minutes otherwise your gonna really be feeling it by the end. Most discs do go for 1 hour, that is alot of non stop exercise. Good luck! And even if your not the most fit instead of doing the full hour do like 15-20 minutes and work your way up. you will still be happy you got this set!"
